Styling Bootcut Jeans - they are back!

I thought I would bring you some Bootcut Street Style inspiration first up to insure you kept reading. Just like when skinnies first emerged years ago a lot of you will be a little skeptical about this flared jean trend but bear with me... After the catwalks featured Bootcut denims last September they have slowly began to creep back into my wardrobe.

I have full length black semi fitted ones from Zara. No soggy bottom hemlines this time round though. The key is to make sure the hem length is long enough for optimum elongation of your leg; but not so long that they drag along the ground. From my retail days of dressing clients and sending garments to the tailors... the perfect long leg length is about one finger width off the ground with your shoes on.

I also have a pair of cropped Flared jeans from Topshop. They are called the Dree jean.

I am hoping they will re-launch them again this year with this new trend emerging. They look great with any mid calf boots or with a small heel and a little ankle showing. Super flattering again. Just make sure the flare is quite subtle. I find the cropped ones that are really flared look too retro for me. I have worn my cropped ones so often on my Instgram posts but they are so subtle you will not have realised they are in fact a cropped bootcut style.

Finally ill be wearing a pair of loose flared jeans. Just keep them high waisted and fitted at the hips for the most flattering fit. Weekday have a few good options.

So that's it really...I know its a bit of a shock to the system with skinnies and straight fits dominating for the last few years but these are such a flattering option if you find the right ones for you. Below are some outfit ideas that I will link on my product page, instagram and
